India Shelbi Boone made her principal role debut last year as Tina Turner in Tina: The Tina Turner Musical. Previously seen as a swing in The Book of Mormon, India stepped into the spotlight to embody the legendary Queen of Rock and Roll. Audiences across the United States, Canada, and Mexico experienced her powerhouse performance as the tour brought Tina’s iconic story and spirit to life throughout North America.

ABOUT ME!

India is a performing artist based in New York City with a fierce passion for change through storytelling. She grew up singing in the baptist church, from the time she could speak. India studied Classical Music at Carver Center for the Arts and continued on with her studies in the Ira Brind school BFA Musical Theater program at the University of the Arts. India is the 2022 recipient of the Ira Brind School Scholarship Award.

 

India's most recent credits include: TINA: The Tina Turner Musical (Tina Turner),

The Book of Mormon National Tour (Sadaka/Swing/ Nabulungi u/s),

Small Ball with Philadelphia Theater Company (Bird) and Pippin with the University of the Arts (Leading Player).
